The aim of this site is to provide an umbrella website for the EU INCO/UNEP/SCOPE Southern African Savannas Project: sustainable management of natural resources (soil, water, flora and fauna) - a synthesis study of human impacts and enhancement of economic and social benefits. A network of experts, expertise and resources (including research material and references) will be linked via this site to help ensure the future management of Savannas is sustainable and beneficial to the local inhabitants.
The Project is EU-INCO/SCOPE/UNEP funded and is managed by Jeremy Woods (project researcher) at King's College London. It is a collaboration between research groups from 5 African regional centres (GEO3) and 3 EU countries.
